Gary Grossman developed and produced the World Premiere of Bronco Billy - The Musical in Los Angeles. He is the Producing Artistic Director for Skylight Theatre Company, one of the leading intimate theatres in Los Angeles recognized as a powerhouse for play development by New Dramatists. The New York Times has recognized Gary as a leader in the Los Angeles theatre community. He is the recipient of the inaugural Henry Ong Award and Stage Raw’s 2016 Career Achievement Award. His theatre career includes work at New York’s Public Theatre, Café La Mama, and Sheraton Square Playhouse. Among his celebrated productions is the West Coast premiere of the Olivier Award winning play Rotterdam (3 LADCC Awards including Best Production for its Skylight Theatre production, before being performed as part of Center Theatre Group’s Block Party at the Kirk Douglas Theatre). His world premier productions of Church & State, Wrong Man (3 Ovation Awards) and John Fleck’s Mad Woman (LA Weekly Awards) have gone on to have successful Off Broadway productions. Other notable world premieres include Nathan Alan Davis’ Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea (Steinberg/National Theatre Critics Citation), Aurin Squires; Obama-Ology;El Grande CIRCUS de Coca-Cola and Years to the Day (International Tour).
